About us

Before Rityvo,
there was
“I’ll start later.”

We are students. And we know that moment well: the coursework is there, so is the desire to succeed… but getting started feels difficult.

This is where it all began ↓

OUR STARTING POINT

We got stuck
before the first page.

We struggled to get down to work. We procrastinated, then felt guilty. But for us, the problem often began with two simple questions: what should I study? And when?

With several subjects and so much to revisit, just deciding was enough to stop us. We also lacked a ritual to mark the start of a study session.

We created Rityvo to meet that need: make the next step clearer, then help you take it. An explained priority, a concrete trigger and a ritual to ease into studying.

WHAT WE WANTED TO CHANGE

Less time wondering
how to begin.
More room to learn.

OUR EXPERIENCE, INFORMED BY RESEARCH

An intention is a start.
A trigger makes it concrete.

Implementation intentions are central to our approach to getting started.

AN EXAMPLE OF A TRIGGER

WHENI put my bag down,
THENI open Rityvo.

A specific situation → a specific action.

Plan the moment.
Choose the action.

Implementation intentions link a recognisable situation to a behaviour: “if this situation occurs, then I take this action”. Gollwitzer and Sheeran’s work examines how these plans can help turn intentions into action.

In Rityvo, “My study cue” lets you put that link into words. The Focus Ritual then gives you concrete steps to follow: prepare your surroundings, choose background sound, breathe and set your goal.

Active recall.

Try to retrieve an answer from memory, then check it. That is the principle behind the Active Recall: you compare your answer with your own definition.

Spacing.

Return to concepts over time. Rityvo takes your recall attempts and the time elapsed into account to estimate mastery and organise priorities.

OUR COMMITMENT

A companion.
With explanations.

We want to make studying clearer: what to work on, why now, and what estimated mastery really means.
