Rityvo app · Last updated: 22 September 2026

Rityvo works with no account and no server. Everything you write stays on your phone. The app sends nothing by itself: the only data that ever leaves is data you send yourself, from your own mail app or by sharing a backup file.

Who publishes the app

Rityvo · Switzerland. For any question about this policy: contact@rityvo.ch.

What Rityvo stores, and where

Everything is stored in a local database, inside the app, on your device. Nothing is copied anywhere else:

This data can only be read from the app. It disappears entirely if you uninstall Rityvo.

The microphone

You can explain a concept out loud instead of writing it. The recording only exists so you can listen back: it stays on the device, it is erased as soon as you move to the next concept, and it is never transmitted or analysed. Microphone access is requested only when you choose to speak, and you can always decline: answering in writing stays available.

Reminders

The daily reminder is scheduled by your own phone, at the time you choose. There is no notification server: Rityvo cannot send you a message remotely, and does not know whether you open the app.

The only cases where data leaves your phone

When you report a bug or an idea

Rityvo prepares a message in your own mail app, addressed to contact@rityvo.ch. You see the whole text, you can edit it, and nothing is sent until you press Send. The message contains what you write and, if you leave the option on, some technical details: device model, system version, app version and language. Your motivation, your subjects and your notes are never attached.

When you tap "I'm interested" for Rityvo Plus

Same principle: a message prepared in your mail app, containing only the features you ticked and anything you chose to write.

When you create a backup

A backup produces a file with your data, which you save wherever you want: your phone, your computer, your online storage. The app sends this file nowhere. What happens to it afterwards depends on you and on the service you choose.

The messages you send us

A report received by e-mail is kept for as long as it takes to understand and fix the problem, then deleted, and in any case after twelve months at the latest. It is never used for anything else, and never passed to a third party. You can ask for it to be deleted immediately by writing to the same address.

What Rityvo does not do

Children

Rityvo is made for students. The app collects no personal data and does not ask the age of the person using it. Nothing written in the app is visible to anyone else.

Deleting your data

In the app, "Start over" erases your profile and your whole history, with no way back. Uninstalling Rityvo also removes everything. As nothing is stored anywhere else, there is nothing further to erase.

Your rights

The Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection and, for people in the European Union, the GDPR give you rights of access, correction, erasure and objection. As Rityvo holds no data about you, these rights only concern the e-mails you have sent us. Write to contact@rityvo.ch and we will answer within thirty days.

The App Store

The download itself goes through Apple’s App Store, which collects its own data under its own rules. Rityvo has no access to it, apart from total download counts and any public reviews.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page is updated and the new version is published here. Significant changes will be announced in the app.
